Abdennour Akoudad Ekajouan
Abdennour Akoudad Ekajouan is a PhD Candidate in Economics at the University of Valencia, Spain, funded by a competitive FPU national research contract from the Spanish Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities. His research interests lie at the intersection of Islamic finance, financial behavior, financial literacy, and digitalization. His doctoral research examines how religion, identity, and financial knowledge shape financial decision-making, with a particular focus on vulnerable consumers. He previously worked as a Research Assistant at the University of Seville, on the project “Evolution of the Information Society in Households and Its Effect on Sustainable Development in Europe and Spain: Spatio-Temporal and Multiscale Patterns”. Abdennour holds a Master’s degree in Economics from the University of Granada (Spain) and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Cantabria (Spain), including an Erasmus exchange at the University of Bologna (Italy).
