Dr. Mohammed Omer Rafique
Dr. Mohammed Omer Rafique is an academic, researcher, Shariah advisor, and industry practitioner specializing in Islamic finance, Islamic FinTech, sustainable finance, and ethical business management. He holds a PhD in Islamic Finance from the University of Malaya (AACSB accredited) and currently serves at SZABIST, where he is involved in teaching, research, accreditation, and academic development activities. He is a Certified Shariah Advisor and Auditor (AAOIFI, Bahrain) with extensive experience in Shariah governance, Islamic banking, fintech innovation, and financial consultancy.
Dr. Rafique has authored and edited several books and published research in reputable international journals on Islamic finance, sustainability, waqf, crowdfunding, blockchain applications, and ethical entrepreneurship. He has also served as a trainer, consultant, and researcher for academic institutions, fintech firms, and Islamic finance organizations across different countries.
His current research focuses on digital Islamic finance, sustainable financial systems, and emerging governance challenges in modern financial markets.
