
Dr. Yusuf DİNÇ
Prof. Dr. Yusuf DİNÇ graduated from Dumlupınar University’s Department of Economics in 2005. He began his career in Islamic finance in 2007 at Albaraka Türk Participation Bank. In 2015, he joined Duke University School of Law as a visiting researcher and earned his PhD from Marmara University’s Banking and Insurance Institute in the same year. From 2016 to 2017, he served as an assistant professor at Trakya University. Since 2017, he is a faculty member in the Department of Islamic Economics and Finance at Istanbul Sabahattin Zaim University. Prof. DİNÇ’s research areas include geoeconomics, geofinance, Islamic economics, Islamic finance, insurance, banking, and shadow banking. He has authored numerous books, articles, publications, and organized symposiums in these fields. He has also developed and led many projects in Islamic finance in collaboration with institutions such as the United Nations, UN-affiliated organizations, the COMCEC of The Organization of Islamic Cooperation, the Islamic Development Bank, and leading Turkiye’s national organizations. He is the recipient of the Islamic Development Bank Institute Smart Economy Lab award. Prof. DİNÇ has served as a board member at the Insurance and Private Pension Regulation and Supervision Authority and at the Central Securities Depository, part of the Borsa Istanbul Group of companies. He is also a member of the Education Board of AAOIFI, serving as advisor to IOM Islamic Philantrophy Fund and columnist in Yeni Şafak.
