Dr. Murniati Mukhlisini areas of expertise are: financial reporting, Islamic accounting, Islamic banking and finance, and Islamic financial literacy. In addition to serving as a consultant for the Bank Indonesia (BI), Financial Services Authority (OJK),and the National Islamic Economics and Finance Committee (KNEKS), Dr. Mukhlisini, is also a board member on the Indonesian Institute of Accountants (IAI), Indonesian Association of Islamic Economics (IAEI), Indonesian Economist Association (ISEI), Indonesian Association of Islamic FinTech (AFSI), Lecturers of Islamic Economics Association (ADesy), and Chairperson of Islamic Financial Planners Association. Dr. Mukhlisini’s alumni associations include the International Islamic University of Malaysia (undergraduate), University of Indonesia (postgraduate), and doctoral degrees from University of Glasgow, United Kingdom University of Qur’an Study, Indonesia. Karim Ullah is a Tenured Associate Professor and Founder of the Center for Excellence in Islamic Finance, which is a joint project of UK’s Department for International Development (UK DFID) and the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP). He has more than 14 years of experience in teaching, research, and consulting on Islamic financial services with Universities, Regulators, and Financial Institutions. He is also part of various working groups, including those of AAOIFI an SBP, to help in developing standards and policies for Islamic Finance. Karim has led a team to introduce four new educational programs in Islamic finance, which have resulted in producing hundreds of new Islamic finance professionals serving worldwide. In education and research, Karim Ullah earned a PhD from Brunel University London on designing Islamic financial services using case research. He also has extensive learning on case teaching at Harvard Business School. In 2015, Karim Ullah was in news for leading a team and won the competitive Financial Innovation Challenge Fund UK DFID and SBP. The challenge was aimed to integrate education, research, and best industry practices to achieve financial inclusion in Pakistan by designing and delivering new academic and trainings programmes and do pragmatic Islamic finance innovations. Karim Ullah also earned multiple grants and awards for his outstanding research and academic contributions including awarded twice by the Government of Pakistan, Higher Education Commission as two of his Books on Islamic Finance stood first in the competitions of management research for the Years 2015-16 and 2017, in Pakistan. |

Mr. Diyas Moldabayev is a CEO of Kazakhstan branch of a Malaysian Boutique Law firm specializing in Islamic Finance and Corporate Commercial. He is a seasoned professional in Islamic Finance. He holds an Associate Qualification in Islamic Finance from the Islamic Banking and Finance Institute Malaysia (IBFIM). Additionally, Mr. Diyas Moldabayev has been the recipient of grants from the Government of Malaysia (Wisma Putra) to participate in training courses on Islamic finance, such as Value Based Banking and the Shariah Audit Certificate program offered by the International Centre for Education in Islamic Finance (INCEIF), AQIF Program. He is also a distinguished member of the Association of Islamic Finance Professionals of Kazakhstan (AIFP). Recently, he has been chosen by the AIFP and the Consortium of Islamic Developers of Kazakhstan as an expert member of a Task Force working on the promotion, development, and integration of Islamic Mortgage contracts among the conventional banks of Kazakhstan. He has been invited as a guest speaker to present information on Islamic finance to round tables/conference several times. His articles related to Islamic finance and halal were published in bulletins like Islamic Finance News Malaysia and Republican Islamic web site Muslim.kz. He has been instrumental in conducting numerous projects in Central Asia, among others, the first project in the Kyrgyz Republic concerning halal matters where he served as an Assistant to the Team Leader. This project was initiated by the Islamic Corporation for the Development of the Private Sector (ICD), a multilateral development financial institution that is part of the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) Group. The goal was to perform a feasibility study to determine the viability of a Halal Meat Processing (HMP) park in the Kyrgyz Republic. And the second project is basically refers to his ordinary duties in our Kazakhstan office and related to Islamic finance, namely in relation to administering the authorization process for the Islamic finance companies/banks interested in getting licensed by the Regulator AFSA (Astana International Finance Centre Regulator): This involves not only leveraging his expertise and knowledge in the AIFC RULES and Regulations based on English Common Law but also overseeing the entire process obtaining a license from AFSA. It also included coordinating with stakeholders, ensuring that application forms are correctly filled out and that necessary documents are submitted, managing timelines, keeping track of the application process, and resolving any issues that may arise during the process. The third one is related to conducting survey - consulting services for developing the Islamic Finance Country Report and Market Analysis for Kazakhstan. The Astana International Financial Centre Authority has requested financial support from the Islamic Development Bank to cover the expenses of preparing the Islamic Finance Country Report and Market Analysis. The objective is to evaluate and comprehend the demand for Islamic financial products among retail and corporate customers in Kazakhstan. Professor Habib Ahmed is Sharjah Chair in Islamic Law & Finance at Durham University Business School, a Fellow (Honorary) at the Cambridge Judge Business School and Member, Board of Trustees at NZF Worldwide, UK. Prior to joining Durham University in 2008, he worked at the National Commercial Bank and Islamic Development Bank Group (IRTI) in Saudi Arabia. He has also taught at University of Connecticut (USA), National University of Singapore, University of Bahrain and worked as Visiting Professor at Hamad bin Khalifa University, Qatar and International Islamic University Indonesia. Prof Ahmed has also worked as consultant for several international organizations such as United Nations, UNDP, World Bank, Islamic Development Bank Institute, Islamic Financial Services Board, ICD, COMCEC and CIBAFI. He has authored/edited more than 100 scholarly publications, which include articles in international refereed journals, books, chapters in books, and other academic papers/monographs/reports. Afnaan Moharram has a BS and BA in International Studies and Business from the University of Pennsylvania in 2014. She most recently completed her MS in Islamic Finance from Hamad Bin Khalifa University in Doha, Qatar. Prior to her graduate studies, she worked for nearly seven years in the corporate retail industry in demand forecasting, inventory management, strategy and analytics. Mufti Abdullah Masum is a Senior Deputy Mufti at the Department of Fiqh & Islamic Laws (Darul Ifta) of Jami’ah Shari’yyah Malibag, Dhaka.
He is a Certified Shari’a Adviser and Auditor (CSAA) by AAOIFI Bahrain. To spread the teaching, research on Islamic Finance & sharia consultancy He founded IFA Consultancy Ltd. where he is the founder director and chief sharia advisor. He is involved as a working group member of AAOIFI Governance and Ethics board (AGEB) and Member of AAOIFI Exams Review Committees (ERC) and Shariah Advisor, Ummul Qura Islamic Foundation, TX, USA and as a Sharia member in several companies and organizations including Islamic bank, Takaful, mutual fund etc. Mufti Abdullah as a researcher he has published many books on Islamic finance. For example, Islamic Finance and its Modern Application (English), besides various articles have been published in journals.
