An alum of Jamia-Tur-Rasheed, in Karachi,  Dr. Asad Gul has over ten years of auditing financial institutions.  Dr. Gul’s area of focus includes: risk management in Islamic banks, internal controls Shariah Governance, profit distribution, ways to pay Zakhah, Takaful and products that can be offered within the Islamic banking industry. In addition, Dr. Gul is an internationally known finance trainer and lecturer who has trained the staff at the Bakhtar bank in Afghanistan, delivered online lectures to students at the Durham School of Islamic Finance in London, and presented the key note speech to the State Bank of Pakistan,in Islamabad, Peshawar and Lahore.
