Dr. Khairunnisa Musari
​Academic Committee Member


Dr. Khairunnisa Musari  is a Senior Specialist of Islamic Finance for the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), Indonesia. Dr. Musari was listed as one of the Top 300 Most Influential Women in Islamic Business & Finance 2019, 2020, 2021, and WOMANi Significancica 2022, by Cambridge-IFA
Dr. Musari is also an Assistant Professor Kiai Haji Achmad Siddiq State Islamic University (UIN KHAS), Jember, Indonesia where she teaches Islamic Economics and Business in the Postgraduate Program.

Dr. Musari’s other credits include, Deputy Coordinator of Central Indonesia for the Central Board (DPP) of the Indonesian Association of Islamic Economist (IAEI) (2019-2023) and Secretary of the IAEI for Provincial Board of East Java since 2017.  Secretary-General of IAEI for Provincial Board of Besuki Raya (2014-2017), Secretary-General of Indonesian Economist Association (ISEI) of Jember (2019-2022), and Member of Expert Board of Islamic Economic Society (MES) of Lumajang (2018-2021). Lead Independent Associate Ambassadors of VentureEthica, International Forum Committee (IFC) the Iranian Association of Islamic Finance (IAIF) 2022-2023, Member of Global Ambassador of Sustainability (GAoS) 2022-2023, and Member of Society for the Advancement of Socio-Economics (SASE) 2022-2023. 

Dr. Musari’s main focus of research is issues related to sukuk, waqf, esham, fiscal & monetary policies, circular economy, halal logistics, sustainable financing, climate change, and Islamic microfinance & nanofinance.  Dr. Musari’s research findings have been published in local/national newspapers, magazines, bulletins, national/international journals, and national/international book chapters. 

About NACIF

​The purpose of the North American Conference on Islamic Finance (NACIF) is to foster the sharing of global knowledge. It is an international forum for Islamic finance scholars and practitioners to discuss and collaborate on the various innovative practices that are being used in the Islamic finance industry. Ultimately, the goal of NACIF is to facilitate sustainable finance practices that benefit society at all levels.
